Zachary Phillip Morrison passed away on May 23, 2026, in Tampa, at the age of 34.

Born on October 9, 1991, and raised in Leroy, Illinois, Zach was known for his intelligence, drive, compassion, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved. A gifted athlete and musician, he excelled at LeRoy High School before attending Illinois Wesleyan University, where he studied psychology and competed in varsity track and field.

Zach later earned his law degree from Stetson University College of Law and built a respected legal career in Florida. After serving as an Assistant State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit, he went on to found  Morrison Law, PLLC in Tampa, where he focused on criminal defense and personal injury law.

More than his accomplishments, Zach will be remembered for the way he made people feel. His smile could light up an entire room, and his presence brought warmth, humor, and comfort to those around him. He loved deeply, cared fiercely for the people in his life, and was always willing to give his time, energy, and heart to others. His loved ones will forever be grateful for his patience, loyalty, and unwavering support. The world is better because Zach was in it.

Zach is survived by his wife, Almery Morrison, with whom he shared a rare and deeply devoted love; his parents, Jill Morrison and Phillip Morrison Jr.; his sisters, Britany Morrison and Ally Hingtgen (Shane); his niece and nephew, Harper and Max Hingtgen; his grandparents, Jo Ellen Smith and Phillip Morrison Sr.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Miguel Tessarolo and Claudia Driussi; and his sister-in-law, Nina Tessarolo.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jerry Smith, Arlis Morrison, and Mary Jo Franks

The family will receive visitors Friday, May 29, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
