Michael Kevin Seaver, Mike to everyone who loved him, passed away at his home in Holiday, Florida after his battle with colon cancer on April 16, 2026, at the age of 52, surrounded by his family. Born November 7, 1973 in Dorchester, Massachusetts and raised in Dorchester and Stoughton, Mike eventually planted roots in Taunton, Massachusetts. It was there, in that home and that life, that he became the person his family will spend the rest of their lives describing to anyone who will listen.
Mike’s five children, Jessica, Aurabella, Catherine, Brianna, and River, grew up knowing that their dad was steady, that he was proud, and that he was always there. Mike’s love for his family only grew with the birth of his grandchildren Dani and Declan.
His wife Audrey was his best friend and his partner in everything. They built their life together the way good things are built: with intention, with laughter, and with the kind of mutual respect that made people around them feel hopeful about love.
Mike laughed often and loudly, and found joy in other’s laughter. Mike had a natural gentleness about him: the man who watched butterflies, who loved taking his dogs Daisy, Java, and Jasper on walks and to the dog park, and who built model trains with the kind of focus he gave everything he cared about.
He dedicated 26 years to emergency medicine on the South Shore of Massachusetts before transitioning to a role helping shape the next generation of nurses. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2019, proof that he was never done growing.
Mike is survived by his wife Audrey H. Jackson; his daughters Jessica M. Seaver of Rhode Island, Aurabella C. Donovan of Connecticut, Catherine E. Seaver and Brianna J. Seaver of Massachusetts; his son River J. Berndt of North Carolina; his grandchildren Dani K. Skiba and Declan N. Donovan; his mother Delcie V. Seaver of Massachusetts; his brothers Clay F. Seaver and Timothy J. Seaver of Massachusetts; and his sister Christine C. Seaver of Massachusetts. He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton F. Seaver.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Tampa Cremation & Burial Service, 8109 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Tampa, FL 33619. Gathering begins at 5:00 PM, service at 6:00 PM. A Boston area service will follow in early May, details to come.
In lieu of flowers, Mike asked that donations be made to Pasco County Animal Services in Land O’ Lakes, Florida, at FPCAS.org, or by mail to 19640 Dogpatch Lane, Land O’ Lakes, FL 34638. Mike also requested that everyone consult with their doctors about getting a colonoscopy.

It is rare that you hit it off so well with your partner on the Ambulance that it makes it a joy to come to work and not a burden but that is what Mike fulfilled to the highest degree. I never dreaded going to work knowing I had the support of Mike. He became not only a partner but in later years a true friend that will be forever missed.
What a wonderful tribute to Mike. His love for caring for people and animals is priceless. He was a sweet gentle soul. I only was around him a few times but when he spoke, or laughed, you just knew what kind of man he was. We all went horseback riding one time and about 3/4 through the ride Mike was hurting. I won’t say where but he had everyone laughing historically.
Rest in peace my friend. You are now an angel for all of your family and friends.
I am so sorry, and my heart goes out to all of you. I love you all, and if you need anything at all, we’re here for you. -Dyl
