Marson Nascimento, 51, Thonotosassa, FL, passed away on April 21, 2026.
Marson was born on May 15, 1974, in Araguaina, Tocantins, Brazil, to Mario Pereira da Silva and Maria Pereira do Nascimento.
Marson lived his life with passion, purpose, and a deep love for people. He began working at a young age and, by 20, was already serving as a TV Director at Comunicatins in Palmas, Brazil. On July 18, 1998, he married his beloved wife, Lillian. The following year, they moved to the United States, where Marson attended Elim Bible Institute and earned a degree in Ministry and Biblical Studies. Together, they later served in Singapore with TARGET Ministries for two years. After the birth of their son, Gabriel, they returned to the United States, where their daughter, Larissa, was later born.
In 2007, Marson and his family moved back to Brazil, where he pursued and earned a law degree at Universidade Luterana do Brazil de Palmas. In 2018, they returned to the United States, where Marson began working for the Federal Government. At the time of his passing, he served as an Asylum Officer with USCIS in the Tampa Office, where he faithfully carried out his work with integrity, excellence, and compassion.
Marson was known for his generosity, kindness, and his remarkable gift for storytelling. He had a deep love for food and found great joy in cooking and baking for others. He had a special fondness for cats, a small but telling reflection of his gentle and caring nature. He was incredibly protective, attentive, and intentional with his family, remembering even the smallest details of what brought them joy. He delighted in creating meaningful experiences — whether through travel adventures, simple beach outings, singing and music, or time spent together at home. And he loved to capture those memories by taking plenty of photos and videos.
He had a genuine curiosity about the world, enjoying learning about different cultures, peoples, and sports. Above all, Marson had a deep and authentic faith in God. He desired to live a righteous and honorable life, and his relationship with the Lord shaped the way he loved and served his family.
Marson is survived by his loving wife, Lillian Araujo Nascimento; his son, Gabriel Araujo Nascimento (Cameran Lynn Nascimento), who are expecting a daughter in the coming weeks; his daughter, Larissa Araujo Nascimento; his mother, Maria; his sister, Malba Pereira do Nascimento Costa (José Williams B. Costa); as well as his father- and mother-in-law, sister-in-laws, and many nieces, nephews, and a great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mario, and his grandparents.
A celebration of life service will be held on April 25, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Connection Baptist Church, 8626 US-301, Riverview, FL 33578.
The family is deeply grateful for the incredible love, prayers, and support they have received from family and friends around the world. Marson will be remembered for his unwavering faith, joyful spirit, and the way he made everyone feel seen, loved, and cared for.

Condolences
Salmo 23:4.
Lillian! I am so sorry for your loss. Your family is a beacon of light in the world, and I trust that God will hold you in his arms during this time. With love, Frances (formerly Frances Crum from LFF)
Hey Tia Li, Lari, and Gab,
When I heard the news, I didn’t even know what to think or understand why God would take him. During the 10 months I spent in Michigan, and in the few opportunities I had to be with Uncle Marson, those moments became truly special in my life.
Remembering his pão de queijo and his pudding brings back the feeling of care and love he had for all of us. I also remember when we went to Indianapolis to watch the Colts game, and the next morning, how excited he was for me to have breakfast and eat Pão Francês, he knew how much I missed it (I was craving it so much haha).
Knowing that he passed away made me reflect a lot as a person. It reminded me how important it is to value every moment that Christ gives us, and to take care of our parents, children, grandchildren, family, and everyone around us. That’s exactly who he was a caring man, attentive to others, with a huge heart.
I truly believe he is now watching over all of you from above, and that he is with our Father, Christ. He is in the place where we all hope to be one day by our Heavenly Father’s side.
My family and I may be far away, but we are close to you in our prayers, asking Christ to bring comfort to your hearts.
In this difficult moment and in the days ahead, I hope our memories are filled with the Marson that we knew happy, joyful, caring, kind, intelligent, a man of God, and an amazing cook.

With lots of love.
We are sorry to lose this beautiful man of God. We were neighbors with Marson and Lillian at Elim (before kids) and appreciated his desire to serve and sacrifice in order to bring God’s kingdom. We are praying for Lillian and their children.
