Joseph Patrick Vigliarolo Jr., 72, passed away on August 22, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 29, 1953, in Queens, New York.

Joe spent his early years in Howard Beach, New York, and later lived in Oklahoma and Florida before making Seffner, Florida his home. Joe met many of the people who became close friends through his work in the restaurant business and his love of golf. He had a way of connecting with people and making friends wherever he went, and over the years he built many lasting relationships and touched the lives of countless people.

Joe is survived by his daughter, Jillian Vigliarolo, his son, Sage Vigliarolo, his grandchildren, Kyle Meyer and Karly Meyer, his sister, Lydia Borgese and her husband, Andrew Borgese; and his brother, Frank Vigliarolo and his wife, Viviana Vigliarolo as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Patrick Vigliarolo III, his sister, Francine Manzo, her husband, John Manzo, and his parents, Joseph Vigliarolo and Rosalie Vigliarolo.

Joe began his working life in the concrete industry alongside his father in the family business, Vigliarolo Bros.. He later spent much of his career in the restaurant and hospitality industry, where his strong work ethic and love of people continued to shape his life. Joe eventually owned restaurants in Oklahoma and later in Ybor City, Florida. He loved the restaurants, the people he worked with, and the community that came with them. Through his businesses, Joe was able to help many people, providing opportunities and making a positive impact on the lives of those who worked for him.

Golf was one of Joe’s greatest passions and a constant part of his life. He loved being on the course and especially enjoyed his time as a member of Buckhorn Springs Golf & Country Club. More than just the game itself, Joe loved the friendships that came with golf. The people he played with and the friends he met along the way became an important part of his life.

Joe will be remembered most for his generosity and the way he cared for the people around him. He was famous for never letting anyone pick up the check and was always willing to help a friend or someone in need, while rarely asking for anything for himself. Whether it was being there for a friend, lending a helping hand, or simply making sure someone was taken care of, Joe was always looking for ways to help others.

Joe leaves behind his family, countless friends, former employees, and many others whose lives he touched along the way. He will be deeply missed and remembered for his generosity, his friendships, his hard work, and, of course, his love of golf.

Funeral services will be held in New York, with details to be announced. A celebration of Joe’s life will also be held in Florida at a later date.
