In Loving Memory of Dustin Lee Smith (“Dusty”)
September 21, 1994 – June 7, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dustin Lee Smith, known by those who loved him as Dusty, who passed away on June 7, 2026, at the age of 31.
Born on September 21, 1994, Dusty lived a life centered around love, family, and hard work. He was a devoted father, a loyal partner, a loving son, and a true friend. He was the kind of son that most mothers only dream of having—loving, respectful, compassionate, and always there when he was needed. Anyone who knew him knew that his greatest priority was always his family. He worked hard to provide for those he loved and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Above all else, Dusty was a father. His greatest joy and proudest accomplishment were his children. He leaves behind his beloved children, Bryson Lee Smith, Ryland Lewis Smith, and Darla May Smith. He also leaves behind his cherished bonus children, Audney, Sadie, and Grant, whom he loved as his own. His love for each of them was unconditional, and they were the center of his world.
One of the greatest blessings in Dusty’s life was finding Malarie LaPoint. Their love was built on friendship, loyalty, laughter, and unwavering support. Together they shared dreams, overcame life’s challenges, and created a home filled with love.
Dusty cherished every moment they spent together. He loved Malarie with his whole heart and was grateful for the life they were building together. She stood beside him through life’s highs and lows, and her love brought him comfort, strength, and happiness. He deeply appreciated the love she gave not only to him but also to his children. The bond they shared was one of trust, devotion, and unconditional love that will forever remain a treasured part of his story.
He is survived by his loving partner, Malarie LaPoint; his mother, Clarissa Smith; and many other family members and dear friends. He was especially adored by his many aunts and uncles, his cousins, and their children, all of whom loved him deeply and will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Clarence “Smitty” Smith and Shirley Smith, whose love and guidance helped shape the man he became.
Although his time with us was far too short, the love, laughter, kindness, and strength he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. His memory will be a guiding light for those he leaves behind, and his love will never be forgotten.
