Deanna Kay Parker, 88 of Tampa, Florida passed away Friday November 21st of heart complications. She was born in Topeka, KS on November12th 1937, to parents Alfred Denton and Margaret Denton-Dunaway.
Deanna Graduated from Topeka High School in may 1955. She went on to attend Washburn University of Topeka and was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority.
In her early career Deanna was a fashion model, a physician Assistant and went on to be a stewardess for continental Airlines. Shortly thereafter, she became the Continental Queen- A beauty Contest from within the airlines.
Deanna married Thomas Burke Parker in December 1961 and had two sons – Bradford Burke Parker and Derek Denton Parker.
They resided in Overland Park, KS, later moving to Tampa, Florida in 1971. Deanna accepted a job as a secretary at Royal Buick in Tampa. In her later career, she accepted a position as an apartment property manager where she remained for the rest of her career – managing Oak bridge run in Temple Terrace, Bayshore Gardens in Tampa and Mandarin Lanai in Jacksonville, Florida.
Deanna was proceeded in death by both her parents Alfred and Margaret Denton and is survived by her son Bradford, wife Debbie, son Derek and wife Kara, grandchildren Jeff and Olivia, great-grandchildren Bodhi and Keanu.
