Vickie Ann Huff, 69, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on October 27, 2025, with her loving family by her side. Born in Middletown, Ohio, on August 15, 1956, Vickie made Florida her home for more than five decades and in that time, she built a life that was full of love, laughter, and purpose.
Vickie’s life was not an easy one. She faced chronic illness and daily pain with the kind of quiet courage most people only read about. Yet through it all, she never complained. She got up each morning, went to work, and poured herself into helping others. As a Certified Addictions Professional with ACTS — the Agency for Community Treatment Services, Vickie found her calling in supporting people on their hardest days. Her work wasn’t just a job; it was a reflection of her heart. Her coworkers were more than colleagues, they were her family. She loved them deeply and spoke of them often with pride.
To her family, Vickie was the heart and the historian. She remembered everything, every story, every date, every detail, she was “the vault.” She carried her family’s memories like treasures and made sure everyone felt cared for and seen. She was filled with fierce love, loyalty, and humor that left a mark on everyone blessed to know her.
Vickie was witty, loving, and deeply caring. She had a way of grounding people when life felt uncertain. She was also a proud and passionate Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan, cheering for her team with the same loyalty and fire she brought to everything else in life.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, James Huff and Mildred (Knight) Huff, whose love and strength shaped the woman she became.
She is survived by her brother James “Jim” Huff; nieces Ashley (Jared) Kuhl and Cortney (Nathan) Stone; great-nieces and nephews Logan Garner (Alyssa), Cody Kerns (Megan), Hannah Durnell (Logan), Kaylei Garner, and Emma Kuhl; and her adored great-great-nieces Elaina and Enslei Garner, all of whom she loved wholeheartedly. She also leaves behind her aunt Marlene, her cousins Alan Knight, Middy and Kristava Raffaldini, and her sister-in-law Barb Tergalina, along with extended family and friends who will forever carry her spirit with them.
In her final act of selflessness, Vickie continued her lifelong commitment to helping others through organ and body donation. Her cornea donations restored sight to two people, and her body was donated for medical research to further understanding of the rare and complex conditions she courageously faced.
There will be no formal service or memorial, in accordance with Vickie’s wishes. Her family invites everyone who loved her to honor her memory by living with the same compassion, humor, and strength she showed every day and maybe by cheering a little louder for the Buccaneers this season.

Condolences

My condolences to you all. I always heard good things about Vickie and how sweet she was. May she be pain free and joyfully reunited with her mom, my mom ( her cousin Denise) and her loved ones!!
What an extremely tribute to Vickie!! I babysat her & Jimmy in Wheeling. Your Aunt Mid was an avid “gin” card player with Barb Hendricks & our mother Winnie’s Knight. She loved Mid @ Vickie & your family for many years. Mid was so good to Vickie as were you with going to help & them before she joined her Mom & Dad with being there for her, you were amazing! God will make sure she will have a life without pain in heaven. God live & bless all who are family & friends for knowing Vickie & Mid. Thank you for being so very special & keep up the fight for rights!!! Love Billie❤️🙏😇
