Judith “Judy” Jean Andersen, 83, passed away on June 7, 2025, in Tampa, Florida. She was born on June 10, 1941, in Evergreen Park, Illinois, to Arthur Robert “Bob” Johnson and Helen Emily Quade Johnson. She grew up in Gary, Indiana, and was a proud alumna of Horace Mann High School and also attended Indiana University. After spending most of her life in northwest Indiana, she relocated to Riverview, Florida, in 2010 to escape the cold weather.

Judy was a dedicated worker and enjoyed socializing with her colleagues. Over the course of her career, she worked for several companies, including Kaplan Supply, Lords Caseware, Chem-Metals, Sersteel, Standard Equipment, Duneland Counseling Center, and Bethlehem Steel. In her later years, just before her retirement, she pursued house flipping, a hobby she truly enjoyed.

Judy is survived by her son, Jay Andersen (wife Melissa) of Sherman, Texas; two daughters, Kara Olson (husband Vinnie Murdico) of Land O’ Lakes, Florida, and Susan Postelnik of Chesterton, Indiana; seven grandchildren: Rachel Andersen, Emily Tomlin (husband Blake), Christian Olson (wife Michaela), Paige Olson, Claire Postelnik, Sarah Postelnik, and Ryan Postelnik; and two great-grandsons, Reese and Bennett Tomlin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Arthur Robert “Art” Johnson, and her daughter, Nancy Andersen.
