Colleen Lynn (LaValley) Brasil
July 23, 1966 – March 8, 2026
Colleen Lynn (LaValley) Brasil, affectionately known as Lynn, was born in Lynn, Massachusetts to Gene LaValley and Nellie Whetzel. Following her parents’ divorce, Lynn gained an extended loving family when her mother married Gordon L. Laber Sr. She became a cherished sister to Gordon Laber Jr. (deceased), Ralph Laber, Steven Laber, Thomas Laber Sr., Kaylee (Laber) Roberts, Faith Hope (Rea Laber), and Valerie (Tucker) McNeil.
Lynn grew up in Salem, Massachusetts, and graduated from Salem High School in 1984. She had recently relocated to Tampa, Florida. She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Bradford, and her nephew, Jared Carpenter.
Known for her big heart and selfless nature, Lynn always put the needs of others before her own. She delighted in spending time outdoors, crafting, and caring for her beloved cats. Family and friends meant the world to her—including her childhood best friend, Teresa Pendola; the two young men she guided as a guardian mother, Jared Carpenter and Edward Force; and her many nieces and nephews. She developed a particularly close bond with her niece, Angelica Laber, who played a significant role in Lynn’s care over the past few years.
Lynn faced lifelong health struggles with remarkable grace and resilience. After two years of persistent illness, she found peace, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and devotion. Her joyful presence and gentle heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
